Desert Orchid is again among the attractions at Kempton today, three years after his fall from grace at the Sunbury course. Racegoers can be photographed with the great grey from 10.30am.

The course executive is appealing to racegoers to arrive early. "The gates, bars and restaurants will be open at 10am and racegoers should aim to arrive soon after that if they are to avoid traffic delays," Michael Webster, of United Racecourses, said.

A bus service will run between Hatton Cross underground station and the course at half-hourly intervals starting at 10.30 and ending at midday.

Market Rasen received the go-ahead after an inspection yesterday. With no frost forecast the going should be soft. There will be a precautionary inspection at Sedgefield at 8am.
