THE Repulic of Ireland's crucial World Cup qualifier against Northern Ireland, scheduled for Belfast on 17 November, may be switched to a less dangerous venue.

Guido Tognoni, a Fifa spokesman, was unable to confirm yesterday whether the move was being considered for security reasons but said a decision would be made today following talks with the respective governing bodies at the request of the Irish Football Association.
