BOLOGNA, WHO lie 10th in the Italian league despite scoring only four goals in their opening eight games this season, entertain Internazionale in tomorrow's live game on Channel 4.

Bologna are not one of Serie A's bigger clubs, but they have conceded only six goals this term. Nicola Ventola, Bologna's striker, and Gianluca Pagliuca, their goalkeeper, will want to shine. Ventola was sold to Bologna by Inter in the summer after they recruited Christian Vieri, while Pagliuca was replaced at Inter by Angelo Peruzzi.

Inter led Serie A early in the season but, while Vieri, Ivan Zamorano, and Ronaldo have been firing, midfielders Paulo Sousa and Luigi Di Biagio are yet to fill the gap left by the departures of Youri Djorkaeff and Diego Simeone. Vieri is doubtful with a foot injury, while playmaker Giancarlo Marocchi returns from injury for Bologna.

FIXTURES (league positions in brackets): This afternoon: Perugia (6) v Bari (15). Tonight: Fiorentina (12) v Cagliari (18). Tomorrow afternoon: Bologna (10) v Internazionale (4); Lazio (1) v Verona (14); Milan (3) v Venezia (17); Reggina (11) v Roma (5); Lecce (13) v Udinese (8); Piacenza (16) v Parma (7). Tomorrow night: Juventus (2) v Torino (9).
