Football: Life after Milan for Papin
JEAN-PIERRE PAPIN is tipped for a return to Marseille or a future in Japan's J League after again being omitted from Milan's line-up, this time for tonight's European Champions' League tie against Werder Bremen at the San Siro, writes Clive White.
The Montenegrin midfielder, Dejan Savicevic, who made all the goals in the 3-0 win over Porto in November, is preferred to Papin. Another top striker who may find himself the odd foreigner out is Brazil's Romario, for Barcelona's tie away to Spartak Moscow.
