Football: Ndah strike seals victory for Swindon
GEORGE NDAH'S 69th-minute goal was enough to give First Division Swindon Town a 2-1 victory in the home leg of their first round Worthington Cup tie against Wycombe Wanderers last night.
Second Division Wycombe produced a battling display, fighting back after defender Alan Reeves had scored his first goal for the Wiltshire side in the first-half. Paul Read equalised for Wycombel after an hour.
Goalkeeper David Watson came to Barnsley's rescue at Scarborough to ensure his side grabbed a 1-0 cushion thanks to a goal from Ashley Ward.
Arjan de Zeeuw clumsily bundled over Steve Brodie in the box in the 65th minute, but Watson superbly pushed Brodie's penalty away.
