Football: Team news
Arsenal v Everton
Davis (thigh) is out of Arsenal's team and skipper Adams, who missed the midweek victory over Leeds, is also unlikely to play. Everton striker Rideout could be forced into an emergency defensive role because of an injury to skipper Watson.
Aston Villa v Tottenham
Villa's Townsend and Staunton have fitness tests. Daley, out for two games, could return but another wide player, Froggatt, is doubtful. Ehiogu and Cox are added to the squad and new signing Whittingham is in contention. Tottenham expect to play the team that beat Liverpool.
Chelsea v Sheffield Wed
Player-manager Hoddle must decide whether to disturb a winning line-up to accommodate Danish defender Kjeldbjerg. Lee played in defence for the 2-0 win against QPR when Kjeldbjerg was involved in a World Cup qualifier. Wednesday are likely to use a new strike force of Bright and Bart-Williams in place of the doubtful Hirst (Achilles) and Warhurst (groin).
Liverpool v Leeds United
With Barnes still ruled out following a recurrence of his thigh injury, Liverpool will be unchanged from the team that lost to Tottenham. Leeds are again without O'Leary as they go for their first away League victory for over a year. Newsome, O'Leary's deputy in midweek, is under threat from Wetherall.
Norwich v Swindon
Norwich's Newman needed four stitches in a head wound in the East Anglian derby win over Ipswich but should be fit with Bowen (hamstring). Pointless Swindon welcome back defender Whitbread but they are still without Bodin and White.
Oldham v Wimbledon
Oldham call up striker Beckford in the squad in place of Sharp but he is likely to be on the bench, with Royle opting for the same formation which started the midweek 3-3 draw with Coventry City. Jones looks set to make his long-awaited return for Wimbledon after recovering from a knee ligament injury.
Sheffield Utd v Ipswich
United wait on fitness tests to Tuttle and Kamara. Both are doubtful but the club's two Scandinavian players, Flo and Wirmola, will continue. Ipswich are without Marshall (ankle) and Mason (groin).
Southampton v Man Utd
Southampton call up veteran defender Moore. Cantona (knee injury) is back in the champions' starting line-up for the first time and Ukranian Kanchelskis could be the one to make way for the Frenchman.
West Ham v QPR
West Ham's Gordon is almost certainly out. Robson, yet to start a game this season, is favourite to replace him. QPR give late fitness tests to defenders Bardsley and McDonald.
TOMORROW
Newcastle v Blackburn
Shearer, Blackburn's pounds 3.3m striker, looks set to start his first game since recovering from a knee injury that has kept him out since January. Newcastle expect to field the team that beat Everton although their match- winner Allen is under pressure from Lee who has recovered from a virus.
