In the latest of a string of racism stories to come from Spain, Barcelona have reportedly sacked an employee from their club museum after the woman was seen making a monkey gesture towards a Racing Santander player while supporting Llagostera.
Dani Alves was last month subjected to racial abuse when a banana was thrown at him from the stands while he took a corner.
The defender then picked up and ate the fruit prompting a worldwide showing of support against racism.
But now this new instance of racism has again heaped negativity on Spanish football, with Barcelona coming under the spot light once more.
The woman made the gesture towards Racing Santander striker Mamadou Kone during their away game against Llagostera at the weekend.
Kone tweeted after the game: "With regards to this lady, it’s better to say nothing. She has shown herself."
Barcelona acted straight away to remove the woman from her position within the museum and have issued her with a life-time ban from the stadium, according to Spanish newspaper AS.
Llagostera reported the woman to the police after she was identified and have also banned her from their games.
