Bastia striker Brandao faces an official disciplinary enquiry after he appeared to headbutt Paris Saint-Germain’s Thiago Motta in the tunnel following Saturday’s game in the French capital.

Nasser al-Khelaifi, president of French champions PSG, has already called for the the Brazilian to be “suspended for life”, adding: “He is not a football player.”

After the match finished in a 2-0 home win, footage shows PSG players walking through the tunnel when someone intercepts them and the incident takes place. Motta is then shown with a bloody nose.

In the game, PSG shrugged off the early loss of striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to post their first Ligue 1 win of the campaign.

The Sweden striker, last season’s Ligue 1 Player of the Year, was forced off with a side injury after 15 minutes but Laurent Blanc’s team still managed to control the game.

David Luiz played the full 90 minutes in his first competitive match since joining from Chelsea. Luiz’s fellow Brazilian Lucas Moura opened the scoring before Edinson Cavani made it 2-0.

In the Netherlands, Lasse Schöne yesterday helped Ajax earn a 3-1 win at AZ Alkmaar, providing a goal and an assist yesterday.

Davy Klaassen scored the first for Ajax, converting a pass from Schöne in the 15th minute, before the hosts equalised through Steven Berghuis. Schöne then went on a solo run to make it 2-1 before Anwar el-Ghazi added a third.
