Manchester United have been drawn to play Sevilla in the Champions League Round of 16.

United were seeded for the draw after topping Group A ahead of Swiss side FC Basel.

They have lost just one game in the competition this season – their final group stage match against FC Basel – and won last season’s Europa League.

Sevilla meanwhile came second in their group but showcased their pedigree when they fought back from three goals down to draw 3-3 with eventual group winners Liverpool.

However Jose Mourinho will surely already be planning on how he can exploit the Spanish side’s soft defence.

Sevilla won only two of their Group E fixtures but got through on the back of being hard to beat - all except for the complete aberration which was their 5-1 loss to Spartak Moscow in October.

That exposed their key weakness - although they can score plenty, they struggle to keep the back door closed, and kept just one clean sheet against lowly Maribor.

The first legs will be played on 13, 14, 20 and 21 February, with the return legs played on 6, 7, 13 and 14 March 2018.
