Ajax will be forced to play their Dutch Cup replay against AZ Alkmaar in front of a crowd of children after the original game was abandoned following an attack on the AZ goalkeeper Esteban Alvarado by an Ajax fan.

The Dutch Football Association originally decreed that the game would be played behind closed doors, but Ajax asked if women and children could attend. The Dutch FA, citing gender equality laws, said only under-13s would be allowed at the game, with a supervising adult for every six children. The pitch invader was given a four-month sentence.
