Cristiano Ronaldo enjoyed another milestone night as Real Madrid made it two wins from two in Champions League Group A.

Having already beaten Shakhtar Donetsk convincingly, the Portuguese Ballon d'Or scored twice as the Spanish giants beat Malmo 2-0 in Sweden.

The 30-year-old, who had not spoken publicly for six months until Wednesday night, equalled Raul's all-time goal scoring record at Real Madrid - taking an astonishing 433 matches than the club legend to reach 323 goals.

Raul took 741 matches to score that amount of goals, but Ronaldo has done it in just 308 games, scoring more than a goal per game since arriving at the club for a world record fee from Manchester United in 2009.

In Sweden, Ronaldo also took his career tally - for Sporting Lisbon, United, Real Madrid and and at international level - up to an incredible 501 goals from 753 total games. In comparison great rival Lionel Messi has 467 goals from 597 matches.

"When I don’t speak with the press it’s because something’s not going well," Ronaldo told El Partido de las 12 after the victory

"Everyone can think what they want. I don’t speak with the press more because the questions aren’t good, that’s why. Why do you ask about things that happened five or six months ago?

"Ask me about today, not things from a while ago. Why do I always have to speak? I am not obliged to speak. If I don’t speak, another [player] does."

He added: "I’m really happy to become the [joint] record goalscorer in the history of Madrid — it’s not something I expected when I arrived. I am satisfied with the record and I’ve already spoken with Raul. He phoned to say congratulations."
