Leicester Europa League draw: Foxes learn 2020-21 group stage opponents and fixtures
Foxes were drawn in Group G
Leicester will play S.C. Braga, AEK Athens and Zorya Luhansk in the Europa League group stage.
The Foxes were in pot 2 for the draw, held in Switzerland on Friday afternoon, and were drawn in Group G.
This season’s edition of the tournament marks Leicester’s debut in the competition, with their last European venture coming in the 2016/17 Champions League – for which they qualified after winning the Premier League before being eliminated by Atletico Madrid in the last eight.
Last term, Brendan Rodgers’ side finished fifth in the English top flight after dropping off as their campaign progressed.
Portuguese outfit Braga were runners-up to Porto in the 2011 Europa League, Athens last appeared in the tournament in 2017/18 – reaching the round of 32 before exiting despite not having suffered a defeat in the competition – and Zorya having taken part in qualifiers for the Europa League in the last seven straight seasons, reaching the group stage three times, including this term.
