Porto lift Europa trophy after Falcao strikes
Porto deservedly beat fellow Portuguese side Braga 1-0 in the Europa League final at Dublin's Aviva Stadium last night thanks to a superb header by Falcao.
The Colombian striker scored his 17th goal of the competition and 38th of the season just before half-time after timing his run to perfection to meet Fredy Guarin's cross and direct a header beyond Braga keeper Artur.
The goal was the highlight of a largely uninspiring first half in which Custodio had Braga's only real scoring chance when he fired wide, before substitute Mossoro failed to take advantage of their best opportunity after the break.
