Having completed dominated Ligue 1 last season, Paris Saint-Germain have drawn and suffered defeat in their last two, sit 7th after four games with seven points.

Arsenal have also had an unconvincing start to the season, in arguably the most competitive Premier League ever. They too have won two, lost one and drawn one, leaving them with a total of seven points from four matches.

Both teams will be hoping to improve on their recent form and get an early advantage in Champions League Group A.

It’s a big game for…

Arsene Wenger. As he approaches his 20th anniversary as Arsenal manager this Champions League campaign could be his last attempt to win the European competition that has always evaded him throughout his time with the Gunners.

The former Monaco manager will return to his birth country in the hope his Arsenal side can produce the goods in what may be his last season.

PSG was founded on August 17, 1970. Since then, they have only played Arsenal twice: a two-legged tie in the 1994 European Cup Winners Cup.

Kevin Campbell scored this goal for Arenal at Highbury, giving the Gunners a 1-0 in the second-leg of the tie.

Player to watch…

Layvin Kurzawa. The French full-back has scored three goals for PSG this season: two in the league and one in the cup, as well as two assists.

The 24-year-old also netted in France's 3-1 victory over Italy in an international friendly at the beginning of September.
