Round-up: Hamburg increase heat as they close in on leaders Bayern

Bayern Munich drew 0-0 with Borussia Dortmund yesterday to cut its lead in the German league to four points.

Still unbeaten 11 games into the season, Bayern looked more like losing rather winning as Dortmund took control of the match after halftime in front of 81,000 spectators.

"It bothers me," Dortmund coach Thomas Doll said. "Looking at the second half, we should have won."

Hamburger SV beat Duisburg 1-0 to move from third to second and reduce Bayern's lead by two points. The win was Hamburg's seventh in eight matches.

Mladen Petric could have given Dortmund the lead in the 57th when Bayern defender Lucio slipped and fell, but his shot went over the crossbar.

In the next 10 minutes, Dortmund's Florian Kringe hit the left post and Jakub Blazozykowski, Delron Buckley and Nelson Valdez had shots that missed after going through on goal.

Danko Lazovic, Mike Zonneveld and Jefferson Farfan scored first-half goals to lead PSV Eindhoven over Sparta Rotterdam 4-1 in the Dutch first division.

Lazovic scored in the first minute before Zonneveld and Farfan added goals with free kicks in the 11th and 26th. Kenneth Perez got a goal back for PSV in the 70th and Sjaak Polak converted a penalty kick seven minutes later for Sparta.

PSV leads the standings with 23 points, two ahead of Ajax and Feyenoord.

Klaas Jan Huntelaar scored his 10th goal of the season to help Ajax beat FC Utrecht 1-0.
