MK Dons 1 Chelsea 5 player ratings: Oscar and Fabregas take Karl Robinson's side to the cleaners in a thrashing

Chelsea comfortably moved into the fifth round of the FA cup this afternoon with a 5-1 over struggling Championship side Milton Keynes Dons.

At times in the first half the Chelsea side looked a little error strewn and struggled to put the ball in the net frequently missing opportunities. Eventually it took a shocking mistake from Kyle McFadzean on the right wing to set up a two on one for Diego Costa. The Spaniard slipped the ball across the front of the keeper allowing Oscar to slide in for the first goal.

Whilst Chelsea should have run away with the game at that point, MK Dons were able to come back into the game. A deflected Darren Potter effort looped into Thibaut Courtois’ net to level the game.

However, any comeback was very much quashed by half time as two more first half Oscar goals completed his hat-trick; the third goal in particular was a well struck effort.

The second half was more of a relaxed affair as Chelsea took their foot of the gas, removing Costa from the fray early to prevent him from injury. Hazard won and converted a soft penalty before substitute scored as the Blues cruised into the next round of the cup.

To their credit Karl Robinson’s side didn’t give up and a few of the players stood out. Ex-Aston Villa player Samir Carruthers impressed as did Robert Hall. Nonetheless they were simply outclassed by a Chelsea side that are slowly eeking their way towards their best.
