Louis van Gaal has made five changes to his Manchester United side from the team who won 3-1 against Burnley for tonight's FA Cup fifth-round tie at League One Preston North End, including bringing Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera back to the starting line-up

Luke Shaw, Chris Smalling and Antonio Valencia also return to his XI.

Van Gaal said about his team selection before kick-off: "We have to look to ourselves but also the quality from the opponents and make decisions.

"They can always make problems for us with the long balls and tall guys and we don't have tall guys. Maybe that's a problem. Also set plays maybe they have scored goals from that. So it's not so easy."

Preston: Stuckmann, Huntington, Clarke, Wright, Laird, Welsh, Gallagher, Garner, Kilkenny, Humphrey, Davies.

Subs: Wiseman, Reid, King, Robinson, Brownhill, Hudson, Ebanks-Blake.

Man Utd: De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Rojo, Shaw, Blind, Herrera, Rooney, Fellaini, Di Maria, Falcao.

Subs: Valdes, Evans, McNair, Januzaj, Mata, Young, Wilson.
