Danny Drinkwater's volley from 20 yards in the last minute of added time saved Leicester City from their first Championship defeat since December.

After being told to stay away from last week's 5-1 victory over Huddersfield amid Massimo Cellino's takeover bid, manager Brian McDermott returned to the Leeds dugout to see his side come from a goal down to beat Yeovil 2-1. The Glovers scored through Ishmael Miller, but Ross McCormack hit a 25-yarder and Stephen Warnock's free-kick gave McDermott a win to savour.

With the takeover still hanging over him, McDermott said: "What we want to avoid now is drama off the pitch," he said. "On the pitch we want drama."

In the Scottish Cup quarter-finals, holders Celtic were beaten 2-1 by Aberdeen at Celtic Park. Anthony Stokes put the home side ahead after nine minutes, but they were pegged back by Russell Anderson's volley – the first goal Celtic have conceded in 12 matches. Peter Pawlett struck five minutes into the second half to secure victory for the Dons.
