FA accuses QPR over third-party ownership

Queen's Park Rangers face a possible points deduction after being charged with breaching player ownership regulations. The Football Association yesterday announced that it had charged the Championship leaders with seven counts concerning third-party ownership of Argentine midfielder Alejandro Faurlin.

Third-party ownership of players is banned and QPR have been accused of concealing the nature of his contract when he was registered, similar to Carlos Tevez's time at West Ham.

Rangers have denied all of the charges and are requesting a formal FA hearing to determine the case.
