FA delays verdict on Faurlin affair
QPR's wait to find out whether they will be playing in the Premier League next season is set to drag on into the weekend.
The Football Association has postponed its decision on the charges facing the Championship leaders over alleged breaching of third-party ownership rules in the signing of Alejandro Faurlin. The verdict, which had been due at 4pm this afternoon, could now be delayed until after Rangers' final match of the season, against Leeds United on Saturday, and the club could yet lose points.
An FA statement said that it had planned to announce a verdict by 4pm today if possible. "This will not now happen," it said. "A decision will be made and announced as soon as possible thereafter."
