The First Division clubs were involved in a fracas during the August Bank Holiday game at Selhurst Park. Palace have been fined £20,000 and Forest £15,000 and both have been warned about their future conduct.

Blackburn Rovers are trying to sign the Derby striker Dean Sturridge in a swap deal for Christian Dailly. The Rovers manager, Graeme Souness, has asked his Derby counterpart Jim Smith for Sturridge in a straight exchange. Derby are also giving a trial to the Marseilles defender Lilian Martin.

Wimbledon have taken Chelsea's England Under-21 international defender Jon Harley on a three-month loan. The 21-year-old has found his first-team chances at Stamford Bridge limited since the arrival of Claudio Ranieri.
