Fratton Park will welcome in the new Premiership season and net promoted Portsmouth a six-figure sum in the process. Sky have selected the match against Aston Villa to kick off their schedule for the new campaign, which will see the season begin with a lunchtime kick-off on Saturday, 16 August.

Portsmouth will net in the region of £600,000 compared to around £60,000 for a First Division game, and with the trip to Fulham in November also picked for television, the club are already looking at TV earnings of just over £1m.

The first live Sunday game is Liverpool's home match against Chelsea on 17 August, while Manchester United's first live game is at Newcastle the following Saturday.

Every Premiership club will have been shown in a live game by the final week of October, with other highlights including Manchester United against Arsenal at Old Trafford on 21 September and the Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool on 30 August.
