Australia vs Spain World Cup 2014: Cesc Fabregas and coach Vicente del Bosque involved in bust-up during training session - reports

The incident happened on the eve of Spain's final World Cup match

Cesc Fabregas and coach Vicente del Bosque have reportedly been involved in a training ground bust-up on the eve of the final match of Spain's woeful World Cup campaign against Australia.

The Spanish newspaper AS have reported that Fabregas, who will return to the Premier League next season after recently signing for Chelsea, was not working hard enough in training and was forced to take off his bib by Del Bosque, who replaced him in the exercise with Xabi Alonso (Watch the video below).

The incident capped an embarrassing World Cup for the holders Spain, who have been convincingly beaten in both of their matches in Brazil, losing 5-1 to the Netherlands and 2-0 to Chile.

Did they really have a bust-up? Watch the video below...

Raul Albiol, the Napoli defender, has played down the incident.

"I haven’t seen anything strange," he said.

"I guess it is just frustration from the team that we have been eliminated, nothing more.

"Obviously we were all desperate to qualify, Cesc as well, but I haven’t seen anything strange with regards to Cesc."

Spain take on Australia in Curitiba tomorrow evening with only pride to play for.
