England took part in a scheduled training session at London Colney this morning despite their friendly match against Holland tomorrow night being called off following riots in the capital over the last three nights.

All 23 remaining members of Fabio Capello's squad were present, although Danny Welbeck jogged onto the pitch later than his other team-mates.

Welbeck had suffered an ankle knock playing for Manchester United against Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday.

The squad are due to have lunch at their Hertfordshire base and are then expected to return to their clubs, although this has still to be officially confirmed.

The cancellation of the Holland match is a blow to Capello's hopes of preparing for next month's Euro 2012 qualifiers away to Bulgaria and home to Wales.
