England vs San Marino: Fabian Delph misses training, but should be fit for Wembley

Fabian Delph missed England training on Tuesday, but should be fit for the European Championship qualifier against San Marino.

The 24-year-old midfielder impressed on his first Three Lions call-up last month, especially as a starter in the 2-0 win in Switzerland.

Delph again joined up with Roy Hodgson's squad for this week's matches against San Marino and Estonia, although he sat out training on Tuesday morning with a knock sustained in Aston Villa's 2-0 defeat to Manchester City.

The midfielder was kept out of the session as a precautionary measure and instead did gym work, although it is not understood to be anything serious.

The rest of the squad trained at St George's Park, where Everton left-back Luke Garbutt and Nottingham Forest defender Jamaal Lascelles were brought up from the Under-21s squad to make up the numbers.

Amongst those watching training were June Kelly and the Abraham Moss Warriors.

Kelly was the Football Association Football Champion at last year's Pride of Britain Awards and also won a Grassroots Hero Award, which was presented at Buckingham Palace.

Abraham Moss Warriors have recently been awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, which is the MBE equivalent for community groups.
