Italy vs Spain team news: Alvaro Morata starts for holders as Antonio Conte puts faith in Graziano Pelle

Spain manager Vicente del Bosque has named Alvaro Morata up front for the Euro 2016 second-round clash with Italy.

The striker, who will re-join Real Madrid from Juventus before a possible re-sale to another European rival this summer, scored three goals to help the holders navigate through the group stage.

Andres Iniesta, highlighted as among one of the stand-out performers in France, retains his place in the centre for the Spanish while David de Gea, questioned in recent weeks, continues in goal.

Italy manager Antonio Conte, meanwhile, has named a considerably stronger line-up than the one who conceded defeat to the Republic of Ireland last week.

Graziano Pelle, the Southampton striker, starts up-front alongside Eder while Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini will continue as the defensive blockade in Paris this evening.
