Mali close on Brazil in latest Fifa world rankings

England remain fourth best team in the world

According to the Fifa world rankings, Switzerland, Ecuador and Greece are better teams than Brazil.

In the latest rankings, which were published today, the five-time World Cup winners remained at a record low.

In 18th place, the team composing Neymar, Oscar and David Luiz are just six places above Mali, a team that have never played at a World Cup.

The top six teams remain unchanged with Spain, the reigning World Cup and European champions, continuing to hold top spot.

Meanwhile, Roy Hodgson's England side, who this month play World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Montenegro, remain fourth.
