Having lost their first match, and been two-down early in the second, England's women hope tomorrow to take their remarkable recovery a stage further and reach the final of Uefa Women's Euro 2009. It would be their first final since 1984, the inaugural competition.
England face the Netherlands, surprise quarter-final winners over France, for the right to meet Germany, the favourites, or Norway, in Thursday's final.
"We didn't start the tournament too well but with each game we've got better," said Everton midfielder Fara Williams. "We all know we haven't hit top form but to reach a semi-final without firing on all cylinders speaks volumes for our character. I think there's room for even more improvement and hopefully it will all come together on Sunday - and then in the final."Reuse content
