David De Gea: The spotlight was on the goalkeeper, but he was barely forced to make a save until punching clear Darida's volley in injury time. 6/10

Juanfran: Impressed in linking up with Silva down the right, and sent some dangerous deliveries into the box. 8/10

Gerard Pique: The centre-back stayed composed when in the right place at the right time to convert Iniesta's cross. 7/10

Sergio Ramos: Stayed alert to head clear at a vital moment despite an otherwise quiet afternoon. 6/10

Jordi Alba: Was pinned back by a pragmatic Czech flank, but still threatened when in the opposition box. 7/10

Cesc Fabregas: His last contribution to 70 steady minutes was a brilliant clearance from underneath his own crossbar. 7/10

Sergio Busquets: His defensive cover was rarely needed as Spain launched attack after attack. 6/10

Andres Iniesta: The veteran midfielder ran the show, rarely losing possession and provided the goal for Pique at a time when Spain looked out of ideas. 9/10

David Silva: Always looked to make things happen in the final third, he too often found his fellow forwards to be on a different wavelength. 8/10

Alvaro Morata: Had several sights of goal in the first half, but lost out in his individual battle with Cech. 6/10

Nolito: On the fringe's of Spain best moments, he grew frustrated and was selfish in going for goal when teammates were better placed. 5/10

Czech Republic

Petr Cech: Kept the Spanish out single-handedly at times, only to be eventually beaten at the death. 7/10

Pavel Kaderabek: Got away with one poor headed clearance in the second half, but recovered with some fine blocks. 7/10

Tomas Sivok: Responsible for some vital interceptions in the times when Spain upped the ante. 7/10

Roman Hubnik: Almost scored an own goal at the start of the second before going equally close at the other end. A solid presence. 7/10

David Limbersky: Toyed with by David Silva, and his booking for fouling the Spanish playmaker was inevitable. 6/10

Vladimir Darida: Very tidy in the rare spells of Czech Republic possession, and went so close to a dramatic late equaliser. 7/10

Jaroslav Plasil: Struggled to cope with the passing and movement of Iniesta, Fabregas and Silva around him. 5/10

Theodor Gebre Selassie: The full-back was fielded further forward to deal with Alba's threat, but failed to offer much in an attacking sense. 6/10

Tomas Rosicky: The captain's lack of domestic football was evident as he faded in the second half. 6/10

Ladislav Krejci: The youngster impressed with some fine deliveries into the Spain box, and produced a fantastic tackle to deny Thiago. 7/10

Tomas Necid: A willing worker who held the ball up, but ultimately saw too little of the ball. 6/10
