Transfer deadline day January 2019: The five biggest moves

Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and more are open for business with the summer transfer window now officially open.

A new centre-back is high on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's priority list at United with Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly and Leicester's Harry Maguire both options. Crystal Palace's Aaron Wan-Bissaka is abother on the Norwegian's radar. It won't just be incomings at Old Trafford, however, with Paul Pogba a high-profile target for Real Madrid and Alexis Sanchez on his way out with Inter Milan and Juventus fighting it out for his signature - if he drops his wage demands. Liverpool could be active too as they look to go one better after failing to win the Premier League title by just a single point. Champions Manchester City are always big players in the market and could go big with the prospect of a potential transfer ban looming.

To Chelsea where they have still not received a satisfactory offer from Real Madrid for Eden Hazard.

The Belgian admitted he informed the Stamford Bridge hierarchy he wants to leave a few weeks ago, and personal terms have been agreed.

While the 28-year-old's contract means Chelsea are now willing to sell, since there is only a year left before he can go on a free, the club are insistent they receive what they feel is the right price.

There was some exasperation at reports in France that a deal had been agreed.

Chelsea want in excess of £100m.

Could Leroy Sane be on his way out of Manchester City?

The Daily Record report that Bayern Munich have contacted City over a possible move for the German international this summer.

Sane failed to force his way into Pep Guardiola's starting XI regularly for much of the season and Bayern appear to be ready to capitalise.

Remember Kevin Strootman?

No it's not 2014. Everton, West Ham and Manchester United have all been offered the chance to sign the now-Marseille midfielder on loan.

That's according to Sky Sports.

Arsenal's early interest in Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico doesn't look like it'll be going anywhere.

The player's agent has said the Argentine will remain with the Dutch giants for at least one more season, despite having caught the attention of a number of clubs on the continent.

Speaking to InterDipendenza.net , Ricardo Schlieper said: “Nicolas has just signed a contract for the next season, and will stay at Ajax.

“The new agreement includes an important salary increase. Marc Overmars has raised his salary, with the intention of making him stay one more year.”

The agent also denied that he has opened discussions regarding a move to Inter Milan, while admitting his client sees the Premier League as an appealing option.

Barcelona have signed Ludovit Reis from FC Groningen for €3.25m, making him their third transfer of the summer.

The deal reportedly includes a staggering €100m buy-out clause.

The 18-year-old joins Atletico Mineiro's Emerson and Frenkie de Jong in making the switch to the Nou Camp.

Reis, who is a midfielder, will be assessed in pre-season by coach Ernesto Valverde before either linking up with the first team or Barca B for the 2019/20 season.

Alexis Sanchez's tumultuous time at Manchester United could be coming to an end sooner rather than later, The Sun reports.

It is thought the 30-year-old will return to pre-season training early to overcome a disappointing campaign plagued by injury and make a head-start for next term, with the Chilean thought to be targeting a move overseas.

The managerial merry-go-round is in full swing.

Antonio Conte is the latest to jump aboard with the former Chelsea manager apparently set to become the next boss at Inter Milan, according to the Guardian.

Could another former Chelsea manager join him in Serie A?

There's lots of talk that Maurizio Sarri is the No 1 target for champions Juve. Hmmm.

Up to Liverpool now and something of a left-field option.

The Reds aren't expected to be big players this summer after a busy offseason last year.

But one man they could apparently be looking at is former German international Max Kruse.

With Daniel Sturridge on his way out Jurgen Klopp is in the market for a new striker and according to Sport1 the Werder Bremen star could be the man.
