Arsenal have denied reports that Abou Diaby had suffered a fresh hamstring injury in training and will be out of action for three months, although the player is still continuing his recovery to full fitness.

The 28-year-old's time at the Gunners has been blighted by injuries. He has been hit with over 40 different injuries since joining the club from Auxerre in 2006.

Since suffering a cruciate ligament injury in March 2013, the Frenchman has made just two appearances for the club, totalling less than 90 minutes.

Diaby is still sidelined, however, as he continues his comeback. His contract with the Gunners expires at the end of the season.
