There's no chance of them being the Christmas No 1 in the Premier League this year, but here is Alexis Sanchez doing his best to cheer up Gunners' supporters ahead of the festive season by wearing Arsenal's new Christmas jumper.

Twenty per cent of proceeds from the jumpers' sales will go to the Arsenal Foundation's global charity partner, Save the Children.

Despite Arsenal struggling in sixth place, Sanchez has excelled for Arsenal since joining the club for £35m from Barcelona over the summer, scoring 12 goals in 18 appearances in all competitions.

Sanchez said yesterday that he hopes to "win everything" with the Gunners.

"I tell you seriously: I like what I see so much that I have repeated myself many times, that if we have the required winning mentality, if we are positive and try to win every single game, I know we can win any competition," he said.

"I know that with this team we can win many trophies in the coming years. I am convinced.

"I hope to win everything here. That's why I came."

Christmas is celebrated in Sanchez's native Chile in warm, sunny temperatures. So he might need that jumper after all this year.
