Since her foundation in 1897, La Vecchia Signora has won a record 27 Serie A titles and a record nine Italian Cups. On the European stage, the club has twice been European champions, as well as runners-up on five occasions, the most recent in 2003 when they lost in the final on penalties to AC Milan.
The French striker David Trezeguet missed in the shoot-out that night but, six years later, he is still scoring for Il Bianconeri. However, his goals are not enough to earn him a spot in this Dream team.
He can console himself with the thought that he joins a list of names that includes: the Danish winger Karl Aege Praest; his compratriot Karl Hansen; the combative midfielder Franco Causio; the left-back Pietro Rava; and the French midfield maestro, Zinedine Zidane.

Given Claudio 'Tinkerman' Ranieri's limited career as a defender, he may not be the man to pull on his boots in a crisis.
