Chelsea defeated Barcelona 4-2 on penalties last night after their pre-season friendly ended 2-2, but the game will be remembered for two wonder-goals for either side, one for Eden Hazard and one for Luis Suarez.

The Belgium playmaker Hazard put Chelsea ahead in the 10th minute with a junking run, weaving his way through five Barca players before slotting calmly past goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.

Blues' manager Jose Mourinho said earlier this week that Hazard performed better than Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo last season, and last night's wonder-goal did little to make you think that he will have another brilliant campaign.

Luis Suarez then equalised for Barca in the 65th-minute with another sublime solo effort, showing great control before diking the ball over Thibaut Courtois between the sticks for Chelsea. Kurt Zouma tried, and failed to stop it crossing the line.

Sandro Ramirez then put Barca ahead in the 66th minute before Gary Cahill leveled the score five minutes fro time.

The Blues then went on to win 4-2 on penalties, Loic Remy converting the decisive spot-kick.
