Arsenal tussle lies in wait for Liverpool

The FA Cup holders Arsenal could face six-times winners Liverpool in this season's quarter-finals.

Arsene Wenger's side face a trip to either Liverpool or Portsmouth depending on the outcome of their replay this weekend.

Liverpool were the last team to beat Arsenal in an FA Cup match - the 2001 final.

Manchester United were drawn at home to face the winner of the replay between Fulham and First Division West Ham.

Birmingham or Sunderland will be at home to last season's semi-finalists Sheffield United while the Nationwide League is guaranteed representation in the last four as Millwall were drawn at home to Tranmere.

Sheffield United striker Paul Peschisolido whose goal beat Colchester in yesterday's fifth round game, had been keen to avoid the Blues, where his wife Karren Brady is managing director.

Millwall midfielder Paul Ifill admits his side have been handed a great chance to make it into the last four. He said: "It is all to play for now, but it is a big step and we have to get past Tranmere first and they will make it difficult. It will be a big test for us, but we will be the favourites.

"We are at home and should win the game - but it is The FA Cup. It is not as simple as that."
