This season exceeded all expectations. We ruffled a few feathers and stayed up with two games remaining, and yet we could have done it even earlier if we hadn't conceded last minute.

It is good to see that Tony Pulis is getting the recognition he deserves. He has defied the odds and remained calm throughout, unlike Mr Brown at Hull, and in the end our survival has been down to his signings in January and the team spirit he has built. The team spirit has survived despite Ricardo Fuller slapping Andy Griffin (where has Griffin gone?) at Upton Park and Mr Wenger slating everything about us after we beat them. Fuller and James Beattie are a handful and we may struggle to hang on to Ryan Shawcross, but Abdoulaye Faye is a legend who epitomised our season.

Which team were your best opponents?

Chelsea looked the most comfortable at the Britannia and were the best we saw, but Fulham deserve a special mention for making things tough for us.

Who would you most like your team to sign this summer?

I would like us to make a bold bid for someone unexpected like Paul Scholes or Nikola Zigic.

What was the weirdest/funniest moment of your season?

Fuller slapping Griffin at West Ham was a shocker, but seeing Sugar Ray Leonard in a Stoke shirt wins it for me.

Mark out of 10 for the season?
