In celebration of the Premier League returning, we’ve put our sports writers on the spot and asked them who will be the Player of the Year.
Watch the video below to see what they predict.
The fan favourite is Eden Hazard. With all of our ‘pundits’ tipping Chelsea to retain their Premier League crown; many believe the Belgian attacker will be at the heart of any success. Our writers are confident he can replicate his form from last season which saw him win the PFA Player of the Year award.
Other picks include Manchester City’s midfield maestro, David Silva, who got into double figures in both goals and assists last season.
Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez has also been tipped by two of our writers to be Player of the Year after his fantastic maiden season – could he guide the Gunners to the league title?
Sticking with the Gunners – one of the more outlandish predictions is Mesut Özil. The German seems very comfortable in his favoured No. 10 role during pre-season, if he can remain fit all season, perhaps he will be the key to any Arsenal success.
Do you think they’re wrong? Let us know in the comments. And watch out for our full preview coming tomorrow.Reuse content
