Thee Chelsea and André Schürrle transfer saga is finally over.

Schürrle has been on Chelsea's shortlist for over a year now and, as the first signing for Jose Mourinho since he arrived back at Chelsea, it's only right we take a look at the 22-year-old forward.

The Germany international was originally signed to the same Mainz side as Lewis Holtby (of White Hart Lane fame) before securing a move to Bayer Leverkusen in 2011, age 20.

The athletic forward, more comfortable on the left, possesses a wealth of pace and skill - making him a terrifying prospect for many a right-back. His ability to dribble past defenders, and finish with great capability, has led him to score roughly one goal in three appearances in the Bundesliga.

German head coach Joachim Low described the 22-year-old and "incredibly quick" and "cheeky" and chose him to be among his youth revolution at national level and, as such, put him on the plane to Euro 2012.
