Many questions were asked when Manchester United signed the untested 19-year-old forward Anthony Martial from Monaco for £36m, but after his exquisitely-taken double for the club against Southampton today, it is beginning to look a shrewd piece of business.

Martial's brace brought his goal tally for United to three goals in under 80 minutes in the league. Last season, Radamel Falcao scored four goals in total for the club.
