MOMENT OF THE MATCH

Theo Walcott: Defying pundit and Premier League winner Chris Sutton's claims Arsenal had not selected a "proper striker", Walcott netted his most difficult chance.

TWEET OF THE MATCH

"BOOM! 1-0. Theo. (the one Arsenal fans keep saying isn't a striker, but is.) @theowalcott #afc" - Celebrity fan Piers Morgan stays on the pulse of all things Arsenal.

STAR PLAYER

Jack Butland: Arsenal missed chances, yes, but Butland was superb for Stoke, denying the Gunners time and again.

VIEW FROM THE BENCH

The selection of Walcott ahead of Olivier Giroud was questioned until the Englishman struck after 31 minutes. Giroud then also got his goal late on after replacing Walcott. Stoke played a 4-4-2 and were unable to match Arsenal creatively or physically, leaving Mark Hughes disappointed.

MOAN OF THE MATCH

The insurance provider whose advertising makes you think a dog is on the pitch, until you realise there is more than one, they are virtual and they are the size of a panther.
