Arsenal came through their match against West Ham with three points to put the pressure on their top-four rivals.

Olivier Giroud broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time with a strike into the top left corner of Adrian's net.

With the Hammers threatening to get back into the match, two quick-fire goals late on in the second period secured the points for the Gunners.

Aaron Ramsey got the first of them in the 81st minute when he put into the bottom right corner of the net after playing a one-two with Giroud.

Just two minutes later Mathieu Flamini scored with a close range shot after a fine passing move.
