The Arsenal injury curse has struck again.

Just 36 minutes into his third start for the Gunners, the recently signed centre-back Gabriel was forced off with a hamstring injury against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road tonight.

The 24-year-old, who moved from Villarreal for £11m in January, joins a Gunners' injury-list featuring Jack Wilshere, Mathieu Flamini, Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Debuchy, and Abou Diaby among others.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said about Gabriel's injury after the match, which ended 2-1 to the Gunners: "It's a hamstring. I don’t know, it's bad enough to come off. It's usually 21 days, not years!"
