Chelsea and Arsenal shared the points in a dramatic contest at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

The Blues took the upper hand when David Luiz was sent off early in the game for preventing Tammy Abraham from stroking in an open goal, and Jorginho scored from the resulting penalty.

Yet Arsenal stunned Stamford Bridge early in the second period, scoring with their first shot of the game when the teenager Gabriel Martinelli raced away to slot cooly past Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Chelsea seemed to have clinched all three points when Cesar Azpilicueta tapped in from close range in the final minutes, but Arsenal hit back almost immediately through Hector Bellerin's bending effort.

The Gunners were undoubtedly the happier of the two sides, given how the game panned out, while Frank Lampard was left frustrated.
