Antonio Conte’s side head into Saturday’s match with their unbeaten record still intact after overcoming both West Ham and Watford in dramatic circumstances.

Having booked their place in the third round of the EFL Cup too, Chelsea are cruising at the moment with the prospect of what should be three easy points on offer as they welcome Burnley to Stamford Bridge.

Nonetheless, the Clarets should not be underestimated – especially following their astounding 2-0 victory against Liverpool last weekend.

But Sean Dyche’s side failed to build on this though, crashing out of the EFL Cup to Accrington Stanley on Wednesday night. Against an in-form Chelsea side, the league newcomers have quite the task on their hands this weekend.

It’s a big game for…

Michy Batshuayi. Although he’s not expected to start this weekend, the Belgian forward is certainly giving Diego Costa a run for his money at the moment.

The 22-year-old has made a lightning start to his Blues career, scoring three goals and assisting one other in his first three competitive appearances. Should he have a similar impact coming off the bench this Saturday, there’s no doubt fans will be demanding he starts soon.

Best stat…

Burnley won 2-0 at home last weekend with just 19 per cent of possession – the lowest total by a winning team in England top’s division since the 2003/04 season.

Player to watch…

Andre Gray. If you’re a Chelsea defender, that is. The 25-year-old found his form in Burnley’s 2-0 victory against Liverpool, scoring one goal and setting up the other. But Gray’s performance on the pitch could be hindered by the recent scandal the player has been embroiled in. Burnley’s striker was charged with misconduct by the FA for a number of homophobic tweets he posted four years ago and could be met by a hostile reception at Chelsea.

Past three meetings…

Burnley 1 (Arfield) Chelsea (Costa, Schurrle, Ivanovic), Premier League, August 2014

Bunrley 1 (Fletcher) Chelsea 2 (Anelka, Terry), Premier League, January 2010
