Team news from Selhurst Park as Leicester look to open an eight point gap at the top
Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has kept the faith with his usual picks for the trip to Crystal Palace in the knowledge they could go eight points clear of Tottenham Hotspur with a victory.
The Foxes go into this afternoon’s clash at Selhurst Park on the back of a hard-fought 1-0 win against Newcastle United on Monday evening as Ranieri continues to trust his preferred side.
Kasper Schmeichel continues in goal for the visitors behind the familiar back four of Danny Simpson, Wes Morgan, Robert Huth and Christian Fuchs while N’Golo Kante, recently called up to the France squad, is in midfield.
The former Caen maestro is joined by midfielder partner Danny Drinkwater, who is also in line for his England debut later this month, while Jamie Vardy and Shinji Okazaki start up front.
Alan Pardew, the Eagles boss, meanwhile, names Emmanuel Adebayor as a lone striker ahead of Yannick Bolasie, Mile Jedinak, Joe Ledley, Yohan Cabaye and Wilfried Zaha.
Palace are without a Premier League win in 2016 but have previous when it comes to scuppering the title ambitious of their top-flight rivals, as Manchester City and Liverpool would be able to testify.
