Christophe Dugarry has been offered a pay-off to leave Birmingham City early and clear the way for new signings.

The veteran French striker, who has 16 months of his deal to run, has suffered a loss of form and knee injury problems this season, after helping Steve Bruce's side stay in the Premiership when he arrived, initially on loan, last season. Dugarry was taken off after a disappointing display against Aston Villa on Sunday and will not be involved in the FA Cup replay against Sunderland tonight.

The former World Cup winner has been speaking to his family about his future.
