Emmanuel Adebayor left out of Tottenham Hotspur's 25-man Premier League squad
Both Aston Villa and West Ham failed in attempts to sign the striker

Emmanuel Adebayor has been left out of Tottenham Hotspur's 25-man Premier League squad.
The Togolese striker has been out of first-team contention at White Hart Lane for the last year and has been left to train with the reserve team.
The announcement of his omission from the Premier League squad comes just after he was also left out of the club's Europa League roster.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino has been desperate to remove Adebayor's sizeable £100,000-a-week salary from the club's wage bill, but cut-price deals to Premier League rivals have repeatedly fallen through.
Both Aston Villa and West Ham United have seen their efforts to loan the disaffected 31-year-old come to no avail this summer.
Adebayor was close to re-joining former manager Tim Sherwood at Villa Park and even visited the club's training ground before deciding against a move.
The front man has since claimed he needs 'a sign from God' before he can decide where his future lies.
