Fulham's Bobby Zamora faces a spell on the sidelines after dislocating his collarbone in Tuesday night's defeat at Stoke.

The in-form striker, who has scored 11 goals this season, was forced off early in the second half as the Cottagers went down 3-2 in the Barclays Premier League clash at the Britannia Stadium.

Fulham confirmed the injury this afternoon after assessing the player's condition but are yet to reveal how long they expect to be without the 28-year-old.

The London club are also checking on the fitness of centre-back Brede Hangeland, who managed only 45 minutes due to the recurrence of a knee problem.

Fulham manager Roy Hodgson is already missing defender John Pantsil with a cruciate ligament injury and may now have to look at bringing in reinforcements in the January transfer window.

"We're not being fortunate on the injury front this season," he said.

"I'll have to look at it but we, like most other clubs, are not in a situation where we are looking to splash loads of money around.

"We'll be keeping an eye on what is available and if someone is available at the right price and could help us out we would be interested but there are a lot of big 'ifs' involved in that."
