Mauricio Pochettino has admitted Harry Kane‘s ankle injury scare could be a “massive problem” for Tottenham.

England striker Kane limped off the Wembley pitch with an apparent ankle problem after Spurs’ 1-0 home Premier League loss to Manchester United.

And Spurs manager Pochettino conceded he will fret over Kane’s fitness, as the 25-year-old will undergo tests in the next few days.

“It’s a worrying thing because we are going to lose Son to the Asian Cup,” Pochettino told Sky Sports.

“And of course if Harry Kane suffers an injury it would be a massive problem for us.

“That is my worry, that is our worry.

“It was a bad tackle in the last moment from a Manchester United player. It wasn’t an intention, but it was a bad tackle.

“There’s swelling now, we need to assess in the next few days. I hope it’s not a big issue but he was limping off the pitch obviously.”
