How Jurgen Klopp and Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool records compare - has there been any improvement?

Both managers took charge of eight Premier League matches for Liverpool this season

Jurgen Klopp has now managed Liverpool in eight Premier League games this season, exactly the same amount as his predecessor Brendan Rodgers did with the club this term.

So, has the German really improved the Reds?

Other than a slightly improved scoring record, and one less goal conceded, their records are almost identical (see the Infographic below).

The passing accuracy average of Liverpool under Rodgers was 81 per cent, one per cent better than what Klopp's Reds are averaging.

The Northern Irishman Rodgers was sacked as Reds manager back in October after three-and-a-half years in charge at Anfield.

"Although this has been a difficult decision, we believe it provides us with the best opportunity for success on the pitch," read a club statement announcing his departure.

Liverpool are currently ninth in the Premier League, one place higher than they were when Rodgers was sacked.
